    • The 2013 Pinot Noir shows lifted aromas of berries, spices and black tea lead to a layered palate of deep raspberry flavors, licorice and an earthy nuttiness. The mouthfeel is smooth, almost creamy and gives way to a complex and satisfyingly long finish of coffee, and dark cherry. The 2013 vintage was near perfect in the Russian River Valley. The Wine Spectator says: “A long and moderate growing season offered both good quality and quantity” and lists Pinot Noir, Zinfandel and Syrah as the most promising grapes.

      • Joe Ottos has quite a nice property in the Russian River Valley, the wine grower blend master offered our sourcing team some of his coveted estate Pinot Noir. This wine is brilliant ruby in color with exotic aromas of rhubarb bing cherry, cola root, heady for sure. The wine is soft and supple with nice acid driven fruit core of red raspberry, black cherry compote, and sarsaparilla spice leads into the finish.
Drink or hold for the next five years; highly recommended. -WB
