- Medium straw-colored, the 2011 Lyricist offers up a superb aromatic array of mineral, ripe pear, apricot, pineapple, honeysuckle, and a hint of tropical fruits. With a bit of air the wine shows hints of petrol, honey, and mango. It is made in a semi-sweet spatlese style. The laser-like focus of the acidity on the palate offers outstanding concentration without any heaviness. The rich, complex finish is long and vibrant. This wine should evolve for several years and drink well for at least a decade.
