    • The 2014 Grand Napa Spring Mtn Cab is spectacular in it’s infancy. Dark black and blue Cabernet lovers will love the copious amounts of pure blackberry bliss….fresh blueberries, oozy black cassis, rich dark chocolate, graphite, and rocky earth. Some elegance and finesse in its youth, but it is rather sizable, big, round and finishing with modest amounts of sweet oak. Ultra-Primo!

    • Winemaker Dwight Bonewell: From walking the fields during the vine’s dormant winters to the packing of cases, Dwight has his hands in every step of the winemaking process at Grand Napa. Some would call this micromanaging, but ultimately, it’s what separates the mediocre wineries from the ambitious.  Dwight seeks out the best vineyards in Napa Valley to source the fruit for wines. “This brand was founded on the Napa Valley appellation which consistently produces some of the finest wines of the World” explains Dwight. He has sourced the fruit from some of the most prestigious appellations in Napa Valley, including Diamond Mountain, St.Helena, Calistoga, Rutherford, Oakville, Atlas Peak and Oak Knoll district.  Carefully following the vine from budbreak to bloom and veraison to harvest, Dwight begins to prepare his battle plan when the fruit comes in: full destemming, small batch fermentations and a thoughtful barrel regimen in French oak that enhances the wine with secondary notes without over- extracting tannin.
    • Steak Au Poivre, Epicurious
      • 97 points - Brian Whitaker, Sommelier - Ripe black fruits layered with blackberry, boysenberry, black cherry, black plum, mulberry, cocoa, anise, sage, and caramel. Rich tannins are apparent, however the wine enjoys a youthful soft mouthfeel with a long complex finish. Recommended Pairing: Grilled Skirt Steak with Chimichurri.
